Street Performer - Asheville, NC
Another collage made in Picasa. I don't think any of these shots are great on their own, but they look good together.

A banjo player - Asheville, NC
This is the banjo player from the 2nd group of street performers that I shot in Asheville. These guys were very grateful that I actually asked if I could shoot them before firing away.

Street Performer showing off his D chord - Asheville, NC
This is the same street performer that I posted yesterday. I made this little 2 shot collage with Picasa in no time flat!

Street Performer - Asheville, NC
This guy will be my subject for the next few days. He was playing outside Malaprop's, the local independent bookstore in Asheville, NC. I simply asked if I could shoot him for a few minutes and paid him a whopping $2. It was pretty sweet to shoot while listening to some good tunes.

Juney Whank Falls - Great Smoky Mountains National Park
While I was shooting this falls one of the hikers struck up a conversation. It went something like this:
Hiker dood: "That seems like an awful lot of work for a picture"
Me: "A yup"
Hiker dood: "What are you going to do with them?"
Me: "Look at them"
Hiker dood: "Oh"

Indian Creek Falls - Great Smoky Mountains National Park
I shot this on the one and only day we were able to hike while we were in NC.
Note: I moved all the technical photo stuff to the hover text. So, if you want to see it just hover over the picture.

Cougar Yawning - Coopers Rock Cougar Sanctuary - Bruceton Mills, WV
I shot this burst sequence at the Coopers Rock Cougar Sanctuary at the Mountain Creek Cabins in Bruceton Mills, WV. This is shot through 2 fences with the distracting fence in the background. If taken out of context the last shot looks like the cougar is about to pounce. Amazing animals!

Finster at a campfire - Medina, NY
I don't remember how I handheld this at 1/25, perhaps I rested it on the ground and I think I used the poor-man's IS (fire at least 2 shots in rapid fire, the 2nd, 3rd are usually sharp).

Abandoned Subway - Rochester, NY
I finally got down to the abandoned Rochester subway with a few friends. We didn't see any bums, but we still got a bit nervous in the darker areas. For this shot I "painted" the graffiti with my flashlight to make it stand out a bit.
