Finster religiously gives his JollyBall its daily walk. He carries that thing with such pride with his chest puffed out and his head high; he's on a mission!

Now that I bought a new scanner (Epson V300) I'm going through and digitizing all my old Velvia slides. This was taken back in 2003.

Yet another Deer "Sit" - LeRoy, NY

Canon REBEL XT ISO: 100 1/2000s f/2.8@50mm Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.4

The last deer "stand" in the series. These four deer stands are all in the field that I walk my dog in (for the non-deer hunting months). This one always made me laugh a bit, a do applaud the reuse of materials on this home-made beast. This masterpiece is an old shower/tub insert; classic!

The Deer "Sit" - LeRoy, NY

Canon REBEL XT ISO: 1600 1/800s f/5.6@50mm Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.4

Not exactly a deer stand, but it is certainly used for "hunting" deer. All the telltale signs exist: a posted sign within 5 yards, and a seat inside for lounging.

"Deer Stand" - LeRoy, NY

Canon REBEL XT ISO: 1600 1/1250s f/5.6@50mm Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.4

This is yet another "deer stand" out in a field. When you look at this a few questions arise. For example, how did this get out in the field? There are no wheels on it, and no engine. Next, how did it get elevated onto the drums? These were some motivated hunters! Did they forklift it to the field? Maybe they brought it out in a flatbed and then lifted it onto the drums? Can 5-10 guys lift a truck body? This makes a horrible deer stand really, with only two windows you only get about a 35 degree angle (it's awkward to shoot backwards out of a car seat) from either side. I'm just baffled; ideas?
