California 2008 - HDR Retry

Here is my re-post from my original attempt yesterday. Hover over to see the difference between my original (with small edits in Picasa) and the HDR Photomatrix/Photoshop version. I tooled around a bit more in Photoshop and used some layers and masks to mask out the parts of the HDR that I didn't like. The non-hover version is the HDR.

Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT

Lens: Canon 10-22mm
ISO: 100
Exposure: 1.0 sec
Aperture: 14.0
Focal Length: 10mm
Flash Used: No

very nice histogram normalization. perfect Gaussian. I like the punched up vividness on some of the duller low-lights. Is this exposure stack HDR or messing with RAW HDR?

I just HDR'd one image, then made a layer with the original and masked in the parts I liked from the HDR rendition into the original.
